Mission + Board
Gender Voice Center, originally known as New Mexico Gender Voice Center, is a registered 501c3 nonprofit founded in early 2021 by Katherine Isaacson, Chloe Fox, and Kyle Isaacson. Its purpose is to provide free vocal coaching services to those without access to gender affirming voice training services in their state, those without health insurance, and/or those who cannot afford the cost of private pay.
GVC accomplishes this by accepting monetary and in-kind donations from the community and corporate partners to provide a volunteer vocal coaching team, free weekly drop-in hour, and almost-free subscription channel that offers outreach, support, and community for those working on training and transitioning their voice.
In addition, as GVC has grown, its mission has expanded to include education and training services to clinicians and instructors, and a partnership with Communication Connections Therapy Services to invest a portion of its revenue stream and profits into the sponsorship of LGBTQ+ events that serve the community throughout New Mexico and beyond.
